About Evian Eyecare
Behavioural Optometrist David Evian has over 30 years experience and specialises in Pediatric Optometry.
Evian Eyecare is one of the few centres in NSW equipped with a Colorimeter. Certain people, both adults and children, are sensitive to certain colours, or glare, which affects visual processing and visual comfort. A colorimeter assesses colour sensitivity and what colour is best suited to tint that persons lenses.
Behavioural optometry tests visual processing, eye fitness and visual comfort as well as vision.
We perform normal eye tests for children and adults, but we also offer additional help when required. Vision affects the brain’s ability to process information - 80 percent of learning depends on visual input.
Feedback surveys show that 61 percent of teachers see an improvement in academic performance and behaviour after vision correction.
A correct diagnosis allows a child to reach their full potential in life. Remember this testing is not just a plain sight test but a comprehensive visual efficiency assessment.
David Evian is qualified to treat learning disability, partial sight and visual impairment in both adults and children. He qualified at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, USA with an Honours Degree in Pediatric Optometry.
